• Group Fun is always more fun! We have singles, couples, groups celebrating special events, first timers, repeat visitors and even locals who know how much fun our tour is. We bring the group fun to you especially when you haven’t had time to meet anyone.

• We’re connected! We also own GAYPV Magazine so our tour has invitations to private men’s parties which are not open to the public. Our tour includes many events you would not find on your own. We also know the bar schedules, when the go go’s starts, what drag queens are performing the night of your tour, etc.

• You can’t know what you don’t know. We know weeks in advance about new bar openings or closings, special schedules of entertainers who are in town, and special events coming to the city – so we can assist your vacation planning and make sure your tour includes those special events when you are in PV. We get daily updates on bar hours, drink specials and special entertainment so you don’t have to bother trying to figure it all out. We develop a schedule that meets and greets celebrities, porn stars, and drag entertainers who are in town and that you could not meet on your own. We have them join us on the tour or we visit the place where they are hosting their event. The Classic Bar Hop with meal includes 2 drinks at dinner and 4 bar hops afterward with 1 drink each. That is 6 drinks total.  Please bring extra money for our tour guides, strippers or show performers who will giving our group special entertainment during the evening. They basically work for tips.

For the regular bar tour No Meal, Meet at STUDS BAR #283 Basilio Badillo normally at 930pm. However, sometimes we may have guests taking the dinner option on the day of your tour. We invite you to come early to meet them and you are not required to eat or drink.

Yes, this is a guided walking tour. This way you learn the lay of the land, and you will know how to get from bar to bar. As we walk, we provide useful insider information about restaurants, stores, galleries, and the overall gay scene in Puerto Vallarta from the benefit of a local expert. The tour may include 5-10 mins of continuous walking in a non handicap accessible environment from 1 bar to another. This may include stairways, uneven sidewalks and cobblestone streets of  Vallarta’s old town. Therefore, we suggest comfortable walking shoes and to pay attention where you are walking. If you require any special arrangements to meet us at the bars, we would be happy to arrange transportation for you. In the event of inclement weather, we may post phone, re schedule or provide transportation. You agree to hold the tour operator harmless in the event of any accident or injury as a result of the tour. 

The dress code is very casual with shorts and a casual shirt (t-shirt or tank top is totally fine with comfortable walking shoes or sandals.

 The classic gay bar tour is primarily for men and visits bars where most of the clientele is gay men. We meet and normally visit men only venues on this tour.  We can make special arrangements to split mixed groups or visit other bars if you do not want to visit men only venues. We do welcome everyone on our tours and encourage you to contact us for custom needs or any questions regarding men only venues.

We can custom tailor each tour to the desires of the group. We do not force you to go to any bar. We encourage you to let us know if you have any special bar preferences. We also provide destination tours for mixed groups such as weddings, birthdays, engagements, etc., on a pre-reserved basis with a minimum required to operate. Your complete satisfaction is our main concern.

The legal drinking age is 18 years in Mexico. Please make sure you bring ID.

We have a non-alcoholic tour option. You don’t have to drink to have the best time of your life on our tour! You can’t help but enjoy yourself in a fun group so don’t be shy – just be ready to make friends! You don’t have to drink alcohol at every stop if you can’t handle 6 drinks.

Tips for the bartenders at all venues are included in the ticket price! Tips for your tour guide(s) and/or strippers and special entertainers are not included, so you’ll want to bring that.

The Mexican peso is the currency of choice in Puerto Vallarta. 

We suggest a minimum of $300-500 peso tip for our guides per person in your group. For strippers or drag queens. a good tip is $100 pesos per stripper or more for a thank you tip. Most guests tip 5 strippers and a few of the drag queens so $1500 pesos in cash would be good for you to enjoy the evening for guides plus entertainer tips . 

The strip club is great to help change larger Mexican peso bills into smaller peso bills. If you need to get pesos we can stop at a local cash machine. We do not recommend changing larger US bills at local businesses because the exchange rate is much lower than internet or bank rates. 

Yes we do. If you are not looking for a group experience, we also provide a more private exclusive environment for any of our tours.  We also can include a caBARet show on our schedule in season. Please send us an e-mail with the date, number of people, what the celebration is for and if you have any special requests as to the types of venues you like. We will make your special event an unforgettable experience.

Absolutely. There are a taxis or Ubers readily available right outside the bars where we end the tour. If you are more than 4 or 5 blocks from where you are staying or it is after midnight, We always recommend that you take a taxi or Uber back to your hotel instead of walking. Please note the taxi number and tag number in case you forget something. We will assist you by walking you to a taxi and translate to tell them where you’re going, determine the cost and get their taxi number for your peace of mind.

Get ready to have the most fun you’ve ever had on a tour!

• Be prepared to HAVE FUN and MEET NEW FRIENDS! The gay bars in PV are lively. We ask you to get ready to have the best fun of your life. ;
• Please show up on time, wear comfortable clothes (casual, and shorts are fine). We recommend wearing regular shoes (no flip flops) for better foot protection;
• bring extra cash to tip your bar hopping tour guides and strippers. We suggest $1500 pesos minimum is a good start. 
• We also ask that you be responsible for your valuables if you choose to take advantage of your discount on private entertainment while we visit strip clubs;
• We do request your email, permission to take and use your photos for our publicity, like us on Instagram and trip advisor.  Please advise us if the public use of these photos are NOT allowed for our promotion, invite your friends and appreciate your comments on the survey after the tour;
• Finally you agree to hold Gay Bar Hopping harmless in the event of any accident, loss, damage, incarceration or injury during or after the tour. You accept full responsibility for your behavior, well being, and health for the entire evening.

You are going to miss out on the most fun ever! All bar tour tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE if you cancel in less than 48 hours before the tour even with written notice. No shows are not refunded.

If the required number of people to operate the tour is not met, inclement weather or other unforeseen act, we will provide an alternative tour date or provide a full refund.
